Barcelona are expecting to complete the signing of Valencia goalkeeper Neto on Thursday, according to El Mundo Deportivo.
Neto, 29, moved to the Mestalla from Juventus during the summer of 2017 and the Brazilian international has established himself as first choice at the club under Coach Marcelino.
He had been linked with a return to Italy while English clubs West Ham and Arsenal had also been linked, but he now appears set to stay in La Liga.
His move to the Camp Nou follows directly that of the Blaugrana’s Jasper Cillessen moving the other way to Los Che, in a deal worth a reported €30m.
It has been claimed that the moves will be effectively a swap deal in terms of transfer fees, although Neto is said to be earning a much higher salary at the Catalan giants.
He is said to be on the verge of penning a five-year contract at the Camp Nou and would be the club’s number two option at goalkeeper behind first choice Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.
