Real Madrid’s 2020 plan for PSG striker Kylian Mbappe

Real Madrid want to sign Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe but do not believe a deal will come to fruition until 2020, report Marca.

The striker is the ‘long-term goal’ for Los Blancos and is said to be a cornerstone of Zinedine Zidane’s demands to strengthen his side.

The 20-year-old striking sensation scooped the Ligue 1 player of the year award for last season and hinted that he could be open to a move to another club, with Madrid strongly linked.

Diario AS have previously that ‘a project outside of Paris could seduce him’ although a summer move this year is unlikely, ‘with not even a €300m bid enough’ to secure a move.

“It’s a turning point, it was the moment to say it,” Mbappe was reported as saying upon receiving the award in May.

“I am whole. When I say something, I mean it. I said it. If it is at PSG, that’s good, if it is elsewhere, it is elsewhere.

“It’s a very important moment for me, I come to a turning point in my career. I have discovered a lot here, and I feel it is maybe the moment to have more responsibility.

“I hope that can perhaps be at Paris Saint-Germain, that would be a great pleasure. Or maybe elsewhere with a new project.”

Mbappe has netted 59 goals in 86 games for PSG and was the top scorer in Ligue 1 this campaign with 32 strikes to his name.
