Serie A side Lazio are reportedly considering a move for Malaga full back Jony Rodriguez, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Rodriguez, who spent the 2018-19 season on loan at La Liga side Alaves, has told the club he does not want to play Segunda Division football in 2019-20, following their promotion play-off defeat to Deportivo la Coruna.
Alaves have not opted to make his loan a permanent transfer, and now Simone Inzaghi is considering a €2m bid for the versatile 27-year old, who can also play as a left winger.
Inzaghi is preparing himself for some big money moves for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Joaquin Correa and Jordan Lukaku, and could need cover for a number of positions for the 2019-20 season.
Malaga are reportedly open to Jony moving on from La Rosaleda, to avoid losing him on a free transfer in June 2020.
