FC Barcelona stars open to Neymar return

Neymar's return to FC Barcelona has been welcomed by current players Philippe Coutinho and Arthur Melo.

The pair, who are currently away on international duty with Brazil – with Neymar absent fro the squad due to injury – are open to the 27-year returning to Catalonia ahead of the 2019-20 season.

Neymar has been widely linked with a potential return to the side where he spent four seasons, between 2013 and 2017, and despite reports of the squad not wanting him to come back, Coutinho and Melo are positive about the situation.

"Of course I would like it (if he came back), Arthur told an interview with Marca.

"He is a great player, and it is not just me that thinks so, everyone in the team agrees.

"The more great players we have, the more it helps everyone."

Coutinho, who arrived from Liverpool in January 2017, with his move financed by Neymar's departure, also agreed, despite it meaning his place in the team could be under threat.

"To play with Neymar is incredible, he is a superstar.

"I don't know what will happen, but it always makes me happy to talk of playing with him."

Reports from both France and Spain over the weekend indicate that PSG are willing to negotiate a deal in the region of €200m, however Ernesto Valverde's side would demand that Neymar lowers his wage requirements.
