Arturo Vidal attracted interest from the Chinese Super League

FC Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal has an offer on the table from an unamed Chinese Super League club.

According to reports in Mundo Deportivo this weekend, the Chilean international has been targeted for a move east, with his first team opportunities set to be limited next season.

The arrival of Frenkie De Jong from Ajax ahead of the new campaign could nudge the combative veteran further down the pecking order at the Camp Nou, despite having two years left on his contract.

However, manager Ernesto Valverde regularly relied on the former Bayern Munich star last season, and Vidal himself has repeatedly clamied he is content with life in Catalonia.

Details of the report do not specifiy which club has reached out to Vidal's representatives, but the offer consists of a huge salary – but there is no estimated fee.

Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos was linked with a big money move to China at the end of the 2018-19 La Liga season, however the offer included a request fo Los Blancos to release the 33-year old from his contract, in order to finance his new salary.

Club president Florentino Perez rejected the deal, claiming the club could not release Ramos from his contract, without a fee, and their arch rivals will follow suit with Vidal, should a bid not be included in the package.
