Paul Pogba wants ‘new challenge’ away from Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has dropped a huge hint that he is ready to leave the club this summer.

The French international has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid before the start of the 2019-20 season, however the two parties are yet to confirm a deal – with the Spanish giants unwilling to pay the €145m asking price.

The former Juventus player, who is in Tokyo for a promotional event for Adidas, told reporters that a move could be imminent.

"This season has been my best.

"However with everything that has happened (at United), i think it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else.

"i am already thinking about this and what a new challenge could be."

Pogba returned to Old Trafford in 2016, in a €89m deal from the Italian side, however he has been consistently linked with a move away from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side in the past 18 months.

"I have been in Manchester for three years, and I have enjoyed it.

"Just as there always is, there have been good times and bad, but the good times I have enjoyed."

Pogba still remains ZInedine Zidane's primary transfer target this summer, despite already spending over €250m on new players, however they are willing to wait and see if United accept €120m for the 24-year old.
