Real Madrid’s Andriy Lunin wins the U20 World Cup

Real Madrid reserve goal keeper has won the FIFA U20 World Cup with Ukraine.

Lunin, 20, played in all seven of Ukraine's games at the tournament in Poland, contributing significantly to Ukraine's first ever international honour at any major tournament.

He also won the Golden Glove award for the competition's best goal keeper, after conceding just five goals in an impressive showing for Oleksandr Petrakov's side.

Lunin played a key role in the 2-1 final win, against South Korea, as despite conceding a penalty from Valencia's midfielder Kang-in Lee, he made a string of vital saves in the closing stages to seal the win.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is continuing his summer transfer spending spree, with more departures from the Santiago Bernabeu, although Lunin is set to remain.

Keylor Navas looks to be on his way put of the club, but Lunin is set to move up the pecking order to second choice behind Belgian international Thibaut Courtois – with Zidane's son Luca third choice.
