Real Madrid goal keeper Keylor Navas could be set to remain at the club – as they have not received any bids for him – according to Diario AS.
The Costa Rican international had been widely anticipated to leave the Santiago Bernabeu, after five seasons in the Spanish capital, with manager Zinedine Zidane confirming that he would be second choice to Thibaut Courtois in 2019-20.
Navas, who was a regular under Zidane, in his first spell in charge at the club was reinstated to the starting XI by the Frenchman, following his return in March 2019 – however Courtois' return to form has spelt the end for Navas.
The primary issue for moving Navas on appear to be his contract and reported wage demands from prospective clubs, with his representatives instructed to push for a three year deal and an annual salary of €7m – a €2m increase on his current wage.
This has meant only Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are the only interested parties to be able to afford a move, however the 32-year old wants Real Madrid to pay off the final two years of his current contract and release him on a free transfer.
Despite their willingness to allow Navas to leave, Los Blancos are not willing to pay €10m to allow him to facilitate a move to a rival that is not prepared to pay a fee, due to Navas' demands.
