Real Madrid confirm Eden Hazard unveiling

Real Madrid have confirmed that Eden Hazard will be unveiled as their new player on June 13.

In an official statement the club informed supporters and media that the Belgian international would be presented to the crowd at the Santiago Bernabeu from 7pm CEST.

Hazard has flown straight from international duty with Roberto Martinez's Red Devils for the ceremony, before returning to the UK to finalise his move to the Spanish capital.

He joins Real Madrid for a club record fee of €100m from Premier League side Chelsea, with a potential €20m extra in additional performance related bonuses, should he hit the ground running in Madrid.

The club have not yet confirmed what squad number he will be allocated for the new season, despite reports on social media of the club shop selling 'Hazard 7' shirts – the number currently occupied at the club by Mariano Diaz.

Manager Zinedine Zidane has already spent over €250m on new players so far, ahead of the 2019-20 season, with Hazard joined by Serbian international Luka Jovic, and Brazilian pair Eder Miltao and Rodrygo.
