Luka Jovic ready to fight for his place at Real Madrid

Luka Jovic is confident he can have an immediate impact for Real Madrid in 2019-20 season.

The Serbian international has been presented as the club latest signing of a big spending summer so far, after a €65m move from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt, and he is keen to force his way into Zinedine Zidane's plans.

"I am ambitious and I want to win things here at Real Madrid.

"This club demands success and I want to play a part in that, both in La Liga and in the Champions League.

"However, I know the challenge ahead of me, as this club already has many great players."

Zidane could look to pair his new signing with French international Karim Benzema, or as part of an attacking trio, with Vinicius Junior and Gareth Bale also options – should the Welsh international remain at the club.

"The competition (for places), will be tough, but I will get opportunities.

"If I do not take those opportunities, then that is my own fault.

"I think I am compatible to play with Benzema, and other players, but that is a decision for the manager."
