Luka Jovic: I am ready for the challenge of Real Madrid

New Real Madrid signing Luka Jovic is relishing the chance to make history with his new club in the 2019-20 season.

Jovic, 21, completed a €65m move from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt earlier this month, and he has been unveiled by the club at a ceremony at the Santiago Bernabeu earlier today.

The Serbian international netted 25 goals in 43 appearances in Germany, and he is raring to go in the white of Madrid next season.

"I am very happy to be here at the biggest club in world, and I hope I can justify the expectations.

"I have been a Real Madrid fan since I was a child, because they are the world's biggest club."

Jovic played as a lone striker during his time with Frankfurt, but has played out wide for the Serbian national side, and he confirmed he is happy to play anywhere for manager Zinedine Zidane.

"For me, where I play is not important.

"What is important is that I give 100% for the fans of Real Madrid."

Jovic, who was also linked with moves to arch rivals FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich, also confirmed that Real Madrid was the only destination he wanted, once the deal was put to him.

He will now link up with the Serbia U21 squad as they prepare for the U21 European Championships in Italy and San Marino, after scoring seven goals in qualifcation for Goran Dorovic's side.
