Real Madrid confirm Luka Jovic unveiling

Real Madrid have confirmed new signing Luka Jovic will be unveiled at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday June 12.

The club released an official statement confirming that the new €65m striker will be presented to supporters at 1pm CEST, before officially signing his contract and conducting a short press conference.

Jovic, 21, has been on international duty with Serbia this week and he will fly into Madrid on June 11 to meet with new manager Zinedine Zidane ahead of the presentation.

The former Benfica forward won admirers from across Europe following a 25-goal season on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt in 2018-19, with the German side exercising their purchase option on him in May.

However the motivation behind that deal was to ensure a profit was generated from his widely reported move to the Spanish capital, with the Bundesliga outfit making a estimated profited of €40m.

Fellow new signing Eden Hazard is expected to be unveiled as Real Madrid player 24 hours later, but that is dependent on his international commitments with Belgium, and the club will make an announcement in due course.
