Atletico Madrid could turn their attentions to Eintracht Frankfurt winger Ante Rebic, once Antoine Griezmann leaves the club.
French international Griezmann confirmed in the final weeks of the 2019-20 season that he intended to the leave the Wanda Metropolitano this summer, with the club will to release him provided his €120m release clause is met.
According to reports in German newspaper Bild, Diego Simeone is looking at Rebic as a replacement for Griezmann, as he look to rebuild his side following some key departures.
Rebic signed a four-year deal with the Bundesliga side at the start of the 2018-19 campaign after leaving Serie A club Fiorentina, following a season long in Frankfurt in 2017-18.
He has impressed in his first full season at the club, forming an excellent partnership with Luka Jovic – who has since joined Real Madrid – with interest also coming in from Inter Milan.
Frankfurt are set to demand in excess of €45m for the Croatian international, after holding out for €60 for Jovic, but Atletico can afford that with the money the Griezmann sale will
