Luis Muriel set for Serie A move

Sevilla forward Luis Muriel is set for a permanent Serie A move according to reports in Marca this weekend.

The Colombian international spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Fiorentina, scoring nine goals in 23 games in all compeitions for Stefano Pioli, and later Vincenzo Montella's side.

With his options likely to be limited at the Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan in 2019-20, with new manager Julen Lopetegui likely to freshen things up at the club, however Fiorentina have already opted not to take up their purchase option him.

However there is strong reported interest from Serie A rivals AS Roma, following the arrival of new head coach Paulo Fonseca, as well as Atalanta and Sampdoria.

There is concerns that the strained relationship between Sevilla sporting director Monchi and AS Roma, who controversially left the Italian side to return to Andalusia, after two seasons at the Estadio Olimpico.
