Jasper Cillessen in no rush to decide FC Barcelona future

FC Barcelona goal keeper Jasper Cillessen is calm over his future, despite requesting to leave the club this summer.

The Dutch international informed the club at the end of the 2018-9 campaign, after growing frustrated at a lack of first team football, however he is willing to wait for the right offer.

"I have not yet considered any offers.

"I am fully focused on the UEFA Nations League with the Netherlands, and I want to win the competition.

"When I return from by holiday, after the tournament, I will sit down with my agent and make a decision."

Manager Ernesto Valverde is happy to keep Cillessen at the club, as an experienced reserve option to first choice keeper Marc Ter Stegen, however the club are open to letting him leave to raise transfer funds for other targets.

Cillessen has expressed frustration at the Catalan side putting a reported €60m asking price on his head, however they are likely to accept a much lower fee for the former Ajax keeper.

Portuguese duo Benfica and Sporting Lisbon are reported to be the favourites to sign the 30-year old, but La Liga sides Valencia CF and Villarreal CF are also keen.
