Thibaut Courtois welcomes Eden Hazard to Real Madrid

Real Madrid goal keeper Thibaut Courtois has welcomed Eden Hazard to the 'world's best club' after his switch from Chelsea was confirmed.

Hazard has been the subject to intense transfer speculation in the final weeks of the Premier League season, with Zinedine Zidane expressing his admiration for the Belgian forward.

The deal was confirmed by the club on June 7, for a reported fee of around €100m and Courtois wasted no time in welcoming his new colleague,

"Welcome to the best in the world, he tweeted.

Alongside a picture of the pair, who are currently on international duty with Roberto Martinez's side, ahead of their games with Kazakhstan and Scotland in the coming days.

Martinez also backed Hazard to succeed in Spain, claiming he has the talent to become the key man in Zidane's new project.

Courtois played alongside Hazard for four seasons, before making the move to the Santiago Bernabeu at the start of the 2018-19 campaign, and Hazard joins Luka Jovic, Rodrygo and Eder Militao as new signings for Los Blancos ahead of the 2019-20 season.
