FC Barcelona in advanced talks with Rodrigo Moreno

FC Barcelona are in advanced talks to bring Spanish international Rodrigo Moreno to the Camp Nou, according to reports in Catalan newspaper Diario Sport.

Ernesto Valverde is likely to add to his attacking options this summer, with experienced cover needed for Luis Suarez in the 2019-20 campaign, and they have been linked with a number of La Liga strikers in recent weeks.

Rodrigo is under contract with Marcelino's side until 2022, but he has a release clause of €120m, with La Blaugrana willing to meet it to bring the 28-year old to the club.

The Brazilian born attacker has scored 24 La Liga goals in the last two seasons combined, however his assist tally of 10 from 2018-19, is reported to be the key to the deal, with Valverde wanting variance in his strikers. 

Barcelona may also be tempted to include a player as part of the deal, to bring the price down, with Jasper Cillessen and Denis Suarez reported to be on Valencia's radar.

Rodrigo also has an offer from Serie A side AS Roma, however he reportedly keen to stay in Spain as it presents an better opportunity to remain in Luis Enrique's plans for the national team at Euro 2020.
