Paris Saint-Germain plan to sign Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho this summer to compliment his ‘friend’ Neymar, report Diario AS.
The former Liverpool playmaker has cut a frustrated figure for the Catalan club this season, finding starting opportunities limited at the club and struggling to find consistent form.
The Brazilian only joined the Camp Nou in January 2018 for a deal worth up to €160m but it now appears the Blaugrana are willing to cut their losses on the player.
The fresh report claims the Parisians believe they can complete a deal for Coutinho in the region of €100m and will offset this financial hit by the sales of Edinson Cavani and Thomas Meunier.
Coutinho has been linked with a move to the Premier League but Chelsea are under a FIFA-imposed transfer ban and they are said to have been the club holding the greatest interest.
Manchester United were also linked but they are said to be prioritising younger players this summer and are unlikely to make such a financially-heavy move.
