Marc-Andre Ter Stegen: ‘I’m disappointed despite good Barcelona season’

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen admits he is ‘disappointed’ despite ‘a good season’ for the club.

The German international lamented the ending to the season for the Blaugrana including their exits from the Champions League and Copa del Rey, despite their La Liga title.

“I am disappointed, because we are all teammates, with this club and its supporters, but this season has closed in a manner like this,” Ter Stegen told reporters, as cited by Marca.

“It has been a good season for us, but not perfect, as there have been hard times at this end of the campaign. First, in the Champions League against Liverpool at Anfield, where we did not perform sufficiently.

“Secondly, in the Copa final against Valencia, where we could make history by winning the fifth straight trophy.

“We worked hard to raise the trophy again, and this time we could celebrate it at the Camp Nou, this is my fourth Liga won in five years. It is the eighth in 11 years, it is a great success!”
