Samuel Umtiti, Phillipe Coutinho, Ivan Rakitic to lead Barcelona exits

Barcelona are set to be ruthless with player departures this summer following their disappointing end to the campaign, say Diario Sport.

The Blaugrana are set to move on nine players this summer, according to the report, with Philippe Coutinho, Samuel Umtiti (pictured), Ivan Rakitic and Malcom the highest-profile casualties.

Jeison Murillo and Kevin-Prince Boateng will both leave at the end of their loan deals while Jasper Cillessen, Thomas Vermaelen and Rafinha Alcantara will also be departing.

Umtiti is behind Clement Lenglet and Gerard Pique in the pecking order, Coutinho is second fiddle to Ousmane Dembele while Frenkie de Jong looks set to displace Rakitic.

Malcom – a €41m summer signing from Bordeaux last summer – appears to be surplus to requirements with the club willing to recoup that sum for him this time round.

Bit-part players Cillessen, Vermaelen and Rafinha are all available for transfer too due to lack of first-team minutes and concerns over fitness on the latter two.

In addition, current loanees Boateng and Murillo will both return to parent clubs Sassuolo and Valencia respectively, while January arrival Jean-Clair Todibo has separately been linked to an exit.
