Real Madrid fans verdict: Bale, Isco, Kroos, Marcelo should go

Gareth Bale, Toni Kroos, Marcelo and Isco are among the stars who should leave Real Madrid this summer, according to a Diario AS survey.

The poll was voted on by nearly five million Madrid fans and the results showed that the supporters wanted as many as eight first-team squad members to leave the club.

Kroos – who signed a new contract on Monday until 2023 – was among the names on the list, while long-serving stalwarts such as Welsh forward Bale and Brazilian full-back Marcelo were also named.

Playmaker Isco was another high-profile potential casualty, while Spanish youngsters Dani Ceballos and Jesus Vallejo should also go, according to the survey.

Forward Mariano Diaz – who returned to Los Blancos last summer from Olympique Lyonnais – and goalkeeper Luca Zidane, son of Coach Zinedine, were also on the list.

The poll conducted by the Madrid-based daily was simple: “Who should go and who should not?”

Bale received the lowest level of support with just 9 percent of respondents offering their support while Mariano and Luca were the other two without much support.

The results were inconclusive on Casemiro, Marco Asensio, Marcos Llorente, Fede Valverde and Lucas Vazquez – with 50-50 levels of support for those players.

Dani Carvajal (92 percent) had the highest approval rating with Vinicius (89), Brahim Diaz (83), Sergio Ramos (84), Keylor Navas (76) and Sergio Reguilon (81) also ranking highly.
