Zinedine Zidane: I won’t comment on Bale’s agent

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has declined to comment on remarks made by Gareth Bale's agent about his future at the club.

The Welshman's representative, Johnathan Barnett publicly stated earlier this week that Bale was committed to staying in the Spanish capital, and seeing out his current deal, which expires in 2022.

However, he also added that the situation remained unclear as to whether or not Zidane has included Bale in his plans for next season, but the former French international refused to be drawn into a battle of words.

"I do not want to comment on this.

"My job is to coach Real Madrid, and he has his own job."

Bale has missed just one game since Zidane returned to the club back in March, and despite rumours consistently linking him with an exit, Zidane has been cagey on his view of the former Tottenham man.

"I may have spoken to him, but not not just about the future, but about many things.

"I speak with all of my players, but these things remain internal.

"Private conversations between myself and the players stay private."
