Achraf Hakimi: “Real Madrid return would be a dream”

Achraf Hakimi, currently in the midst of a two-season long loan deal at Borrusia Dortmund, has admitted: “It would be a dream for me to return to Real Madrid.”

The full-back has represented the Bundesliga title challengers 28 times this season and in September won the Bundesliga Rookie award for his performances.

The Moroccan international penned a two-year loan deal at the German club last summer but at the start of April sustained a broken metatarsal.

“It would be a dream for me to return to Real Madrid as soon as possible, I would be lying if I said otherwise,” Achraf told Vamos, as cited by Marca.

Hakimi, 20, is primarily a right-sided defender who can also play in the heart of the defence and he has already amassed 14 caps for Morocco, including all three group matches at last summer’s World Cup.

Born in Madrid to parents of Moroccan descent, Achraf joined Madrid's youth setup in 2006 from CD Colonia Ofigevi as an eight-year-old, he is in the midst of a two-season loan deal in Germany.

Madrid currently have Dani Carvajal, Alvaro Odriozola and Nacho Fernandez to play in the right-back position.
