Zidane: There are no positives to take from Rayo defeat

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane was in no mood for excuses after his side slipped to a 1-0 La Liga defeat at Rayo Vallecano.

Paco Jemez's side were bottom of the table ahead of kick off, but the dominated against their city rivals, and Zidane was firm in his assessment of Los Blancos' performance.

"From the first minute to the last minute, we did nothing.

"I am very angry about the performance, and I will take responsibility for it.

"We lost every battle today, and we owe the supporters an apology."

The Frenchman was also pushed on the future of Welsh international Gareth Bale, and responded curtly that only Bale knows if his heart remains at the club.

Despite losing to their neighbours, results elsewhere this weekend have confirmed that Real Madrid will be in next season's Champions League.
