Real Madrid midfielder Brahim Diaz set for loan exit

Real Madrid are insistent on loaning out Brahim Diaz this summer despite the player wanting to stay at the club, say Diario AS.

Diaz started only his second game in the scoreless draw at Getafe on Thursday night and was widely praised as being the side’s star performer on the night.

“I am here in Madrid and I want to play as much as I can,” Brahim told reporters after the game.

“I want to remain at the club for many years to come, it is the best club in the world.”

The 19-year-old joined Los Blancos in January in a €15m move from Manchester City but last month’s league victory over Huesca was his first start for the club.

It is said by Diario AS that a number of La Liga clubs are interested in arranging a season-long deal for the talented midfielder.

This follows a report earlier this month in Marca which claimed the Malaga-native would be allowed to leave Madrid on loan this summer in order to get first-team experience elsewhere.

Brahim is one of the few players in Madrid's first-team squad who returning boss Zinedine Zidane did not previously coach at the club.
