Brazilian defender Marcelo wants to stay at Real Madrid – dismissing speculation that he is still looking to move away from the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
The experienced full back was linked with a reunion with Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus, after losing his place in the team earlier in the season to Sergio Reguilon, however the return of Zinedine Zidane has seen he come back into the fold.
He will be 31 before the end of the season, however Zidane has place faith in him, and Marcelo is firmly committed to the cause.
"Plenty of things are said about me, but Real Madrid is my home and those who know me are aware of that.
"I have always said that I am happy here and I try to show that every day in training and when I pull on the shirt for matches.
"Being out of the team did not affect me.
"I have always been focused and supportive of my team mates."
Real Madrid need just four more points from five games, to confirm Champions League football at the club for next season, however Marcelo added that no one at the club is wishing the season to end early with a second place finish a priority.
