AS: Salary demands could scupper Real Madrid move for Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba's big money salary demands could be a potential issue if Real Madrid pursue the Manchester United midfielder this summer – according to a report in Diario AS this weekend.

The French international has been widely linked with a move to the Spanish capital ahead of the 2019-20 campaign, however his annual salary of €17m at Old Trafford could be an issue.

Real Madrid are keen to preserve their current wage structure which has Gareth Bale as their top earner on €15m per year, and Pogba is very unlikely to take a wage cut to seal the deal.

Alongside the concern over a big wage, Real Madrid are also concerned over Pogba's agent Mino Raiola's willingness to deal with the club.

Relations between the two parties is reported to have improved in recent months, but he will look to secure the best deal for him and his client which could mean Real Madrid club president Florentino Perez having to dig deep to get a deal done.
