Real Madrid defender Alvaro Odriozola out for rest of season

Real Madrid defender Alvaro Odriozola is out for the remainder of the season with a broken collarbone, say reports in Spain.

Signed last summer in a €40m deal from Real Sociedad, the right full-back has played 22 matches across all competitions for Los Blancos this campaign.

Primarily a back-up for Dani Carvajal, the 23-year-old is said to have sustained the injury during a challenge with Vinicius Junior during a training session on Friday.

He will now miss Madrid’s remaining six La Liga games this season and will attempt to ramp up his recovery ahead of pre-season.
