Barcelona playmaker has moved to play down suggestions he was disrespectful during his goal celebration against Manchester United.
The Brazilian cupped his ears towards a section of the crowd at the Camp Nou after netting a stunning strike in Tuesday night’s 3-0 victory for the Blaugrana.
“We should never listen to people who will demotivate us,” Coutinho wrote on his Instagram account.
“Because their speeches only gonna (sic) deviate us from the real focus we should take.”
Coutinho has faced questions over his form this season and has failed to cement his place in the first-team at the Catalan giants since his January 2018 switch from Liverpool.
