Giovani Lo Celso ‘positive’ after Real Betis move

Giovani Lo Celso has explained ‘Real Betis have given me many positive things’ after joining on a permanent transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.

The Argentine international had been on a season-long loan deal at Los Verdiblancos from the Parisians and the option to sign him permanently is thought to stand at €22m.

“The club have given me many positive things and I’m enjoying my football,” Lo Celso told Betis club media.

“I have felt comfortable in this team and able to give my best version because of this happiness, but I know the results must improve for us to meet our objectives.

“We have to win all our matches to meet our aims and whilst I’m happy with my level of performances and goal returns this season, we know we must improve as a team.”

The 23-year-old has starred for the club this season and bagged an impressive 15 goals, making him one of the standout players in the division.

Also registering four assists in his 40 appearances to date, Lo Celso’s fine form had seen him linked to both Real Madrid and Barcelona this summer.
