Zinedine Zidane: Isco important for Real Madrid but…

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane was non-committal when speaking on the future of playmaker Isco at the club.

The 26-year-old had been frozen out of the starting XI by previous Madrid boss Santiago Solari – not starting a match across La Liga or the Champions League under the Frenchman’s predecessor.

Isco has a contract at the Santiago Bernabeu until 2021 and found the net in recent league victories over Celta Vigo and Huesca, but these latest comments have clouded his future once more.

“Of course, Real Madrid have many players that can be sold, because they are of very high quality,” Zidane cryptically told a press conference, as cited by Marca.

“Isco is an important player for this team and I like him but we will wait and see, players from Madrid are always linked to moves away.”
