Manchester United to insert ‘anti-Barcelona’ clause in Marcus Rashford deal

Manchester United will insert an ‘anti-Barcelona’ clause into a new contract for striker Marcus Rashford, according to El Mundo Deportivo.

The 21-year-old is developing into one of the most coveted footballers in world football, 45 goals in 163 first-team appearances for the Red Devils.

Rashford, who also has netted six goals at international level for England, is said to be an alternative to Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic.

The striker’s current deal at Old Trafford expires in June 2020 but he is set to pen a new long-term contract, increasing his wage packet from €80k per week to €300k per week, the report claims.

Rashford’s United will play the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final against the Blaugrana at the Camp Nou on Tuesday, with Barca leading 1-0 on aggregate.
