Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos is prepared to leave the club this summer ‘to start a new cycle’, according to a report in Diario AS.
The 29-year-old has been a fixture in Madrid’s first-team since the summer of 2014 and his departure could hasten a deal for Paul Pogba or Christian Eriksen, who the report claims ‘are both to (Zinedine) Zidane’s taste’.
The German international has been criticised for his performance level this season with the report stating that it has been ‘comfortably his weakest’ in his five campaigns at Los Blancos.
Kroos has scored 13 goals across 228 appearances for Madrid, helping the club to three successive Champions League titles and the 2017 La Liga crown.
