Midfielder Fede Valverde wants to remain at Real Madrid beyond the current campaign despite links to Italian club Napoli.
The 20-year-old has made 21 appearances for Los Blancos this season having returned from a loan stint at Deportivo La Coruna last summer.
“My idea is to stay at Real Madrid, I have worked very hard to reach this level and do not want to give it up,” Valverde told Corriere dello Sport, as cited by Spanish media.
“If I ever leave this club it will be with the thought that I tried my very hardest but ultimately the future will be decided by the Coach and the club – but I want to give everything for this club.
“I feel really comfortable in all of the midfield positions – I try to make the most of any minutes I have.”
The Uruguayan is under contract at Madrid until 2021.
