AS: Borja Mayoral could remain at Levante next season

Real Madrid striker Borja Mayoral could remain at La Liga side Levante next season, according to reports in Diario AS this morning.

The 22 year-old is currently on loan with the Valencia-based outfit, playing a consistent role in their battle against relegation and he could sign another season long at the Ciutat de Valencia in the summer.

The Spanish U21 striker has regularly posted on social media how much his is enjoying his time at his temporary club, and they would be happy to retain the Real Madrid youth team product, should they remain in the top flight.

Mayoral, who has only enjoying sporadic game time during his early career in the Spanish capital, is likely to see his game time reduced even further in 2019-20 with the returning Zinedine Zidane set to make attacking reinforcements in the summer.

Any loan deal is subject to Real Madrid taking up their option of extending Mayoral's contract by a further year, with his current deal expiring this summer, and if they decline to, he could leave permanently.
