Barcelona mistakenly email player’s contract to Espanyol

Barcelona accidentally sent the contract details of highly-rated academy player Ilaix Moriba Kourouma to Espanyol, report ESPN FC.

The midfielder is one of La Masia’s brightest prospects and has put in a series of star appearances this year, including a hat-trick against Real Madrid's Juvenil B team in August.

The report claims the Blaugrana are trying to tie him down to a new long-term contract and had meant to email the offer to his agent, rather than their Catalan rivals.

The two sides meet each other in La Liga on Saturday and the report claims Espanyol officials were left stunned by the sums of money on offer and claimed it was more than several of their first-team players.

The Guinea-born player most commonly plays in a playmaker role for Barca’s youth sides and has previously been linked with moves to Chelsea, Manchester City and Juventus.
