Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez are expected to be fit for Barcelona’s Catalan derby with Espanyol on Saturday but Ousmane Dembele remains sidelined.
A report in ESPN FC outlines how both Messi and Suarez have been involved with first-team training for the Blaugrana following injuries sustained before and during the international break.
Messi missed Argentina’s victory over Morocco earlier this week with a groin problem having participated in their loss to Venezuela, while Suarez had sprained his ankle against Real Betis.
Dembele remains sidelined with a hamstring injury which is likely to rule him out of La Liga games against Espanyol, Atletico Madrid and Villarreal, while he is a doubt for the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Manchester United.
The France international initially sustained the injury in a league victory over Rayo Vallecano and aggravated it during the Champions League win over Lyon.
