Spain boss Luis Enrique will not be on the bench for Tuesday night’s game in Malta due to ‘important family matters’, it has been confirmed.
The RFEF (Spanish FA) confirmed the news via a tweet on Tuesday, with Enrique’s assistant coach Robert Moreno to step in to lead the side.
The second qualification match for the 2020 European Championships is due to take place in the Maltese capital of Valletta on Tuesday evening.
La Roja got their campaign off to a winning start with a 2-1 victory over Norway on Saturday night.
