Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera ‘does not know’ if he will join Paris Saint-Germain

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera ‘does not know’ if he will join Paris Saint-Germain or not but calls the speculation ‘normal’.

The 29-year-old is out of contract at Old Trafford this summer, meaning that he has been free to discuss terms with other clubs since January.

A report in Diario AS claims the Spaniard will move to the Parc des Princes on a three-year contract, with a ‘significant wage increase’ from a reported €112k per week up to €170k per week.

“A possible move? It would be logical because I am in the final three months of my contract, something was bound to come out,” Herrera told El Periodico.

“I am dealing with this situation normally and my focus is on my football from now until the end of the season and the rest is left up to my agent.

“There could be discussions with United over a new contract and there could be talks with other clubs over a move, this is normal.

“I do not know if I will be leaving England or not, this is the biggest club in England, the fans love me, they have treated me phenomenally, but I honestly do not know what will happen.

“My aim is to try and beat Watford next week.”

Atletico Madrid and Athletic Club Bilbao have both previously been linked to the combative central midfielder, alongside Italian side Roma.

Herrera joined United in 2014 in a €30m deal and has made 186 appearances to date for the club, scoring 20 goals.
