Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele injury doubts for Espanyol clash

Barcelona could be without attacking duo Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele for their return to La Liga action next weekend at home to rivals Espanyol.

Suarez was withdrawn in the closing minutes of their last league game, a win away at Real Betis, and he was given a recovery time of 10 to 15 days for his ankle injury.

Manager Ernesto Valaverdde will make a late decision on the Uruguayan international aheaadd of the visit of Joan Francesc Ferrer's side to the Nou Camp.

French international Dembele is almost certain to miss out after suffering a thigh strain in the Champions League win over Lyon, and missing the Real Betis victory.

The former Athletic Bilbao boss also received a scare over captain Lionel Messi after he returned early from international duty with Argentina, with a groin injury.

However he is expected to be fit in time to play this weekend, as his return was more of a precaution after national team boss Lionel Scaloni agreed that Messi would only play in one of their two friendly matches.
