Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio is an injury doubt for Spain, ahead of their EURO 2020 qualifiers against Norway and Malta.
The 23 year-old was called up to the squad by national team boss Luis Enrique, however he suffered a calf injury in training and now his participation in the double header is in doubt.
Enrique is set to make a decision on the situation in the next 24 hours, to allow for time to call up a replacement squad member if needed before Saturday's game in Valencia.
If Asensio is forced to withdraw, he will be the second casualty of Enrique's squad in less than a week after Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz had to be replaced by Atletico Madrid's Saul Niguez after suffering from a fever.
Reserve goal keeper Pau Lopez is also an injury concern for the former Barcelona boss due to a neck problem.
