Lyon playmaker Nabil Fekir has claimed recent Champions League upsets have inspired Lyon who will ‘play without fear’ against Barcelona.
The France international is a key player for the visitors, who held the Catalan club to a scoreless draw in last month’s first leg of their Round of 16 tie, meaning they will progress to the quarter-finals should they avoid defeat at the Camp Nou.
“There have been surprises in this round, and why can we not do the same,” Fekir told a pre-match press conference, as cited by Marca.
“We know there is nothing for us to lose here, we can go and play without fear because we know we too have great players who are full of confidence.
“This is a game when we will need to play at our maximum to give ourselves a chance, but we know we are capable of doing this.
“This is a huge game for the club and for me personally, playing at this stage of the tournament has always been a dream for me and it gives me the pressure I want.
“This will be a special game but it is one we all want to play in.”
