Toni Kroos believes every Real Madrid player must assess their own personal performances after his side’s Champions League exit.
Los Blancos crashed to a 4-1 defeat at home to Ajax on Tuesday night, completing a miserable week in which they lost two El Clasicos and also were eliminated from the Copa del Rey.
“Every player has failed to reach their best level,” Kroos told an interview with Cadena Cope.
“I can admit that for myself, I have not reached my level and I think we only played well in the Copa del Rey, but you cannot say that when you lose by three goals.
“It’s normal in football to have a bad season, but what we have achieved over the past three years is not normal despite suffering a little last season too.
“The Champions League exit disappoints us but we admits that Ajax deserved their win, they deserve to be in the quarter-final.”
