Clarence Seedorf has warned Frenkie de Jong and current Ajax teammate Matthijs de Ligt of the ‘pressures’ they will face when leaving the Dutch giants.
Central midfielder de Jong has agreed to join Barcelona this summer in an €86m from the Dutch giants, while Seedorf also made the move from Ajax to star for a number of clubs including Real Madrid.
“When they leave Ajax they will have to assume the change of culture, of the country and adapt to the new speed of the game,” Seedorf told El Mundo in a wide-ranging interview.
“They will come under pressures of all kinds that they will suffer from. Anyway, I know that they are great talents.”
Seedorf is currently in charge of the Cameroon national team having coached Deportivo La Coruna last season.
