POST MATCH: Luis Suarez double puts Barcelona into Copa del Rey final

Two goals from Luis Suarez saw off Real Madrid to put Barcelona into the Copa del Rey Final in a 3-0 semi final second leg win at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid were ahead on away goals, after a 1-1 draw at the Nou Camp at the start of the month, however they had no answer to Barcelona's second half onslaught and Ernesto Valverde's side will now contest a sixth successive Copa final.

Neither side covered themselves in glory in the first half, with Brazilian teenager Vinicius Junior wasting two gilt edged chances for the hosts in a frantic opening 45 minutes.

However it was the efficiency of Suarez after the break that was decisive, with a calm finish from Ousmane Dembele's pass on 50 minutes, for his sixth goal in his last seven El Clasico appearances.

Santiago Solari's side looked to react, but the game was put beyond them on 69 minutes, as Raphael Varane turned Dembele's teasing cross into his own net – with Suarez lurking for a tap in.

The Uruguayan international then put the game beyond any doubt four minutes later, converting a cheeky dinked penalty after he was fouled by Casemiro.

La Blaugrana will face the winner of tomorrow's other semi final second leg as Real Betis head to the Mestalla to face Valencia.
