Jan Oblak: Atletico Madrid job not yet done

Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak has warned ‘it’s not job done yet’ despite his side defeating Juventus 2-0 on Wednesday night.

Diego Simeone’s side have the clear advantage in the Round of 16 Champions League tie after goals from Jose Maria Gimenez and Diego Godin, with the Slovenian Oblak keeping a clean sheet.

“We knew it would be a tight game, a difficult game, and I think we did our job correctly. We had more chances to score, so I think we can be happy with this game,” Oblak told reporters.

“It’s good for us, but it’s not job done yet, there are another 90 minutes of work in Turin, we need to stay calm and prepare well.

“It was a bit funny that two centre-backs scored the goals, as that is unusual, but the important thing is that we won. I congratulated them for their goals, they deserve it.

“You don’t prepare a different way if Cristiano Ronaldo is playing. He is one of the best in history and scored a lot of goals, but you have to prepare the game against Juventus as a team. We are all happy to play big games and this one tonight was huge.”
