James Rodriguez wants Real Madrid return – report

James Rodriguez wants to return to Real Madrid from Bayern Munich this summer, according to a report in Marca.

The playmaker is currently entering the final four months of a two-season loan deal at Bayern, who hold a reported €35m option to sign him permanently.

Juventus have also been strongly linked with a move for the Colombian this summer, with the player reportedly undecided on a potential move to Turin.

It was reported by Marca earlier this month that Cristiano Ronaldo phoned James in an attempt to convince his former Real Madrid team-mate to join him at the Bianconeri.

The creative midfielder joined Bayern in the summer of 2017 on a two-year loan deal from Madrid but reports suggested he had fallen out of favour under new boss Niko Kovac.

The former Porto and Monaco star spent three seasons at Los Blancos, helping them to two European titles, but started just 13 La Liga games in his final campaign.

Arsenal have recently emerged as another contender for James, but the player reportedly has no intention of playing in England.
