Cesc Fabregas believes his former Chelsea teammate Eden Hazard will remain at Stamford Bridge instead of joining Real Madrid.
The Spanish midfielder joined Monaco last month and was speaking of Hazard’s recent comments about making a firm decision on his future, amid strong links to Los Blancos.
“He says he has decided, so I think he will renew his contract at Chelsea,” Fabregas told Cadena Ser.
“He will not fight to leave, that is his personality and he knows how Chelsea are a great club and how he has won everything in England.
“He likes Madrid, that is not a secret, but he is happy at Chelsea and in London, he is a star player and he is a team captain.
“He is 28 now so it is a very important decision and it will be a very personal one.”
