Jese Rodriguez: “Do not doubt my commitment at Real Betis”

New Real Betis loan signing Jese Rodriguez has told fans ‘do not doubt my commitment’ after joining from Paris Saint-Germain.

The player, who has not featured in any matchday squad for the French club this season, is now reunited with Quique Setien – whom he worked under at Las Palmas.

The Spaniard – who has not played a single minute of football this season – turns 26 this month and his last first-team appearance came for Stoke City on 17 March.

“Some people having doubts is normal, but do not question my commitment,” Jese told reporters, as cited by Marca.

“I will give everything I have to help the team and to get things right, I’m very happy to be at a club like Betis and it is a massive challenge for me.

“There is a lot to play for until the end of the season and this is a fantastic group, I want to earn my place in the first team with a lot of hard work.

“There is an incredible atmosphere with a fantastic group of fans and I want to show in training that I deserve to play in front of them every week.

“The Coach (Quique Setien) knows me very well, he can play me on the left or the right, behind a striker or further forward.

“A permanent stay? That will be up to the club at the end of the season.”
