Valencia boss Marcelino Garcia Toral has described Barcelona star Lionel Messi as ‘unlike any other player’ after a decisive role in Saturday’s match.
The Argentine forward struck twice as the Catalan giants came from two goals down to rescue a draw in the league clash at the Camp Nou.
“There is nobody who can compare him to him, I only wasn’t worried about him when he was receiving treatment,” Marcelino told reporters, as cited by Marca.
“He is decisive in almost every game, he is extraordinarily talented and he makes any opposition team suffer a lot, this is not new – he is not like any other player.
“We were of course disappointed not to have won when leading by two goals but we did not have any luck, and we played a very good match.
“Previously we had no confidence in the final third but that is different now and we are confident going forward.”
